The nice thing about having a lot of professors and not a lot of students is that you really do have good interactions with them.

And that, I think, really creates a very intimate atmosphere between the students and the professors. And it allows the students here at Carroll to really rise to their full potential.

We're able to mentor our students and help them find the exact right career for them because we notice things about them. We notice where they are strong. A lot of times, we're able to help them try out everything and then give them leadership over specific areas. In the theater department, we might have a student take over the sound design for a show. And we're available as a mentor for them, but we really help them grow by giving them the leadership in that area.

A lot of students will participate in SURF, which is our Student Undergraduate Research Festival. So students will be able to do their own research and then present it to the rest of the student body. And they can actually work with their professors to make that research happen.

My relationships with my professors have been really valuable. I've been able to have a lot of opportunities, even abroad opportunities, with my Spanish professors.

Whenever I have any questions about my future career plans, I talk to my professor about being a nurse practitioner, because she went through schooling for that, and that's something that I want to do. I feel like the professors are really invested in the student's goals and what they want to get out of their education.
