Faith

Campus Ministry

As a Catholic diocesan college, faith and service are at the cornerstone.  This is a place where you can explore how faith fits into your life and be challenged to go deep spiritually.

Our Catholic faith is the reason this school exists. So it's not just a portion of the experience here at Carroll, but it's woven into the very fabric of all that we're about.

One of the biggest things that we're really passionate about is service. We have-- I think this year alone, we've logged over 17,000 hours of community service in the Helena area. So I think that kind of just really embodies who we are as an institution. We love through serving others.

We work with the homeless population at God's Love, or we work with the dioceses of Helena with Good Samaritan Thrift Store.

And we also do Headlights trips through campus ministry where you go out to a different community. We have LA trips, and then Chicago trips, and trips to Denver, Colorado to go serve the people there, but also to immerse yourself in their culture.

There's some really cool opportunities internationally to go abroad with service. So that can be medicine in Mexico. I'm going down to India.

We have lots of retreats on campus that have been super formational for me. I've been able to go on freshman retreat, and it's one of the greatest experiences I've ever had.

We always go out into the beauty of Montana. And when we come back from retreat, our campus community is transformed and elevated, but also our sense of responsibility, both here at Carroll, but also in the world is brought forward. And we can live our faith in a more intentional, vibrant, and joyful manner.

Campus ministry also offers daily mass. And then Sunday night mass, we have upwards of 300 students come to our brand new chapel. People who aren't even Catholic come, and we all just pray and worship together. And it's one of the most beautiful things to see.
